State Bank of India invited application for the post of 4500 probationary officers. The applications are to be made online only. The last date of application is March 2, 2010.There are 2 kinds of posts available which are probationary Officer and probationary officer (Rural business). The applicants selected for the post of probationary officer (rural business) need to work for a minimum period of 10 years. 2500 opportunities are for the post of probationary officer and 2000 posts are for probationary officer (rural business).

The salary scale for the post is 10000- 18240 Rs

Educational Qualification: The candidate should be the one who has secured minimum 60 % marks for the +2/2 year full time diploma and a degree with a minimum of 55%. The degree qualification is not a must for candidates with professional qualifications such as CA,ICWA,CS etc.

The age of the candidate should be between 21-30 on 28-02-2010.

Selection procedure: The selection is based on the written exams that include objective as well as descriptive .The written exam is on April 11, 2010. Interview and group discussion will be conducted for the successful ones.
