Dolphin – India’s National Aquatic Animal
India has given a national acceptation and recognition to the Dolphins of India Sea. The decision regarding the same was taken in the presence of the Indian Prime Minister himself. Now the Dolphins are one of the costly wealth of India. The Dolphins of India are taken special care and the Dolphins are waiting for a neat and clean River Ganga. It is reported that only almost 2000 Dolphins remain in the river Ganges. The aquatic mammal Dolphin India is to be given more care as they are facing the whole destruction of the species.
Though the dolphins are consider endangered ones by the Red Data Book, the dolphins are very sensitive to find out the future dangers and inform us. It has the power to chase even ships. It is the best sniffer of water. It saves the lives of the fishermen by giving them information about foreseen dangers. The sniffer dolphins have so much to do with security of the nation India. The dolphins can also be trained well as training dogs. The trained dolphins are capable of many funny and adventurous acts. The
Dolphins are capable of jumping up to 7 meters higher in the air. They are dolphins who live both in the sea and in rivers. They find out their food with the sound frequency.
Like the Indians, the dolphins are considered to be the intelligent mammals. We find 40 various dolphins in the water all over the world. The dolphins’ weight differs from 40 kilograms to 10 tons. The Dolphin length is from 1.2 meter to 9.5 meters. The littering dolphins are only mammals and not a fish species. The dolphins are the princesses of the Indian sea today.
Now the river dolphins are officially considered as the national aquatic animal. The official meeting of National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declares dolphin the Indian national aquatic animal. The proposal for the same came from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during the meeting and was accepted. It reached with the conclusion to start the new program of cleansing river Ganga. All credit of cleansing river Ganga goes to the dolphins and nobody else.
