4G is coming

TRAI is now coming forward with the proposals of establishing 4G. The government of India has not yet taken a decision in the case of 3G. The 4G or Long term evolution (LTE) uses the same bandwidth of 3G technology and makes much more data transfer in very less amount of time. The data transfer speed in 4G is 10 Mbps whereas of 3G is 3 Mbps. The high data transfer rate facilitates the service providers to send more data through the network at a very low cost. The introduction of 4G enables the users to utilize ultra broadband service and high definition video on demand.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is planning to go ahead with the implementation plans of 4G. This was announced by TRAI chairman J.S. Sharma. Special studies will be conducted to analyze the reach, scope and initial implementation difficulties. He also said that the Government has no plans to stop the implementation of 3G and the procedures for the 3G auction will be started soon.

The implementation of 4G will be will be a faster phase than 3G. Many countries have already implemented 4G. The 4G makes data transfer in Giga byte speed. In order to implement 4G detailed studies are to be made on spectrum allocation, quantum, allotment mode etc. TRAI authorities will soon present the papers regarding this

It was before 3 years the plans of 3G were introduced. Unfortunately it is not yet implemented completely. To avoid the type of delay occurred in the case of 3G, TRAI will present the plans of 4G for government’s approval only after all preparations.

The Department of Telecom (DOT) is now in the work of making the 4G spectrum available. The Service providers in India are now having plans to implement 4G without stepping into 3G
